EnSky Corporation has announced the launch of a new "Online" TV channel "DoverNH.tv" to serve the Greater New Hampshire Seacoast Area. DoverNH.tv airs segments filmed in Dover and the surrounding towns.
Shows already in production include "This Week in Dover" a weekly show hosted by David Flood and Kirt Schuman, Executive Director of the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce. "Dover Eats" a segment on where to find good food, "Seacoast Home and Gardens" which features tips on gardening and home improvement, "Breaking Local News", "Dover Economic Development Report", with Economic Development Director Dan Barufaldi, and later this summer, "Dover Diva's" will report on entertainment and nightlife options on the Seacoast.
DoverNH.tv was conceived by David Flood, President and CEO of EnSky, a full-service advertising agency headquartered in Dover. Upon moving from Rochester to Dover, EnSky had inquired with the City if they could provide locally generated video content on Dover's Public Access TV, Channel 12. Currently the City of Dover only allows the airing of government content on it's channel, in lieu of that, Flood created DoverNH.tv and is now moving to develop a similar channel for Portsmouth at PortsmouthNH.tv
"We are at the bleeding edge of where TV will be in the future...and it's not that far away now," stated Flood.
Flood continued, "With YouTube and Vimeo, and sites like HULU.com and local sites like ShortStream.tv, more and more websites are cropping up that offer broadcast tv content on the internet. There is a huge demand in our area for viable places for businesses to advertise in our local community. DoverNH.tv and PortsmouthNH.tv will seek to fill that void, by offering quality local content, supported by local advertisers."
In addition to online video content, DoverNH.tv hopes to provide some live event filming in the future. You can also watch some of what DoverNH.tv airs on line on TV, as DoverNH.tv will continue to provide some of its content available to watch in support of local public access tv in Dover, (Channel 12) and Durham on DCat.
