EnSky Wins Prestigious WebAward For The Lemelson Foundation's Web Site

[11/19/01] EnSky Corporation--Rochester, NH - EnSky Corporation today announced the Web Marketing Association has given a "Standard of Excellence" award to The Lemelson Foundation's web site, in the fifth annual WebAwardscompetition.

The Lemelson Foundation, a private philanthropy founded by inventor Jerome Lemelson and his family, selected EnSky in early 2001 to develop the Foundation's Internet presence.

Innovation is the overall theme of The Lemelson Foundation's site, a portion of which focuses on the life and inventions of Jerome Lemelson. An interactive Macromedia Flash™ movie entitled "Exploring Innovation" invites visitors to dig deeper into the history of invention and innovation by presenting a historical timeline of well-known inventors.

Another important aim of the site is to present up-to-date information about the ongoing philanthropic efforts of the Foundation through the programs that it funds, which include:

• The Lemelson-MIT Awards Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
• The Jerome and Dorothy Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History
• The Lemelson Assistive Technology Development Center at Hampshire College
• The Lemelson Center at the University of Nevada, Reno
• The Hands On Science Center at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History

The site's QuickTime™ Theater section furthers that goal by presenting footage from a variety of Foundation events such as the Lemelson-MIT Awards ceremony, the "Innovative Lives" series of presentations, and NCIIA's student E-Teams competitions.

"As the central source of information about Mr. Lemelson and The Lemelson Foundation on the Internet, it was important for us to create a site that effectively articulated the mission and goals of the Foundation, and the relationship between the Foundation and the programs that it funds," stated David Flood, President of EnSky.
