FSB Award Winning Web Site Second Year In a Row
[03/20/02] EnSky Corporation -- Rochester, NH. EnSky announced for the second year in a row, their web design for Federal Savings Bank had recieved a top honor in the 2002 New Hampshire Internet Awards.
Gov. Jeanne Shaheen joined New Hampshire's Internet community Thursday night, March 14, to celebrate the Granite State Web sites that had earned the title "best" in 16 categories, including a "best of show." EnSky won in the Business Services catagory.
The Fourth Annual New Hampshire Internet Awards Gala, at CR Sparks in Bedford, was hosted by NH.com, the state's premier site for news, information and events, and sponsored by New Hampshire Community Technical College in Nashua, WMUR Channel 9, and WZID 94.5.
A highlight of the evening was Governor Shaheen's presentation of the N.H. Internet Usage Survey, conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center for NH.com. The survey reveals much about how New Hampshire residents use the Internet, including the facts that almost four in five households own a computer and more than three quarters of the state's adults have Internet access.
David Flood, President of EnSky, commented: "I think this award underscores the point that the work we do for our clients won't be out of fashion a year from now. When FSBDover.com was launched in 1999, its technology was on the cutting edge. It faced some stiff competition this year, and we're going to have to stay on our toes to win again next year."
The continuing growth and success of the Internet Awards is indicative of the strong, innovative character of New Hampshire's economy and workforce, commented NH.com's New Media manager, Kathy Schwartz.
"Each of the Web sites that were entered in this year's contest demonstrates that the state's business leaders understand that while a Web site is not an end unto itself, it is becoming an important part of every type of business endeavor," she said. "And New Hampshire has done a great job keeping up with, and even anticipating, these innovations."
Links to all of the Web sites entered in the Internet awards are posted on NH.com, along with the complete results of the Internet usage survey.
Beyond promoting the development of technology and communication in New Hampshire, the Internet Awards also benefits New Hampshire's children by providing, with the support of Keane, Inc., technology assistance to Girls, Inc. of New Hampshire, a nonprofit organization serving the state since 1954.
