EnSky's Technical Infrastructure and Development Environment

If you've clicked on this link you're obviously a GEEK. If you're not a GEEK, and you have come to this page by accident go back to where you just came from. If you are indeed a geek, well then, welcome to GEEK Heaven. At least it is to us.

We work on a cross-platform mix of Apple, Dell and Gateway workstations and servers, running a mix of operating systems from Mac OS7.5 - OS X, Windows 98 up to the most current version, and a variety of flavors of Linux...yum. We also have an assortment of laptops, handhelds, and other toys both for work and play.

90% of our POD's [?] have dual monitors, speakers, APC Back-Ups, and other cool stuff, CD-R's, Zip-Drives (remember those?) and even a few floppy drives.

We import video from a Super VHS VCR as well as digitally via Firewire [?] from our Sony DSR-TRV20, which is what we also use to shoot DV.

We have a broadband connection to the internet with a fancy firewall, and we serve our clients' websites and Frisb:ee [?] on a massive Dell PowerEdge 4300 with a built in 5 bay RAID Running the latest version of RedHat Linux.

We have way too much registered software to list but we handcode using BBEdit, the majority is either Adobe, Macromedia, Apple or Microsoft. One of our developers recently introduced us to a great inexpensive software tool for OSX called OmniGraffle, which we now use extensively for creating process [?] and site maps [?]. If you have some cool Open Source [?] or cross-platform [?] software that you want us to demo, send an email to e.solutions@ensky.com.
